City leaders in Venice this week put off a decision to extend an invitation to potential developers interested in the old Circus Arena property. Most favored the idea. They’ll take it up again at the Dec. 10 meeting.
The city was forced to partially demolish the structure and associated buildings when its own building official deemed the property a hazard earlier this year. The partial demolition was completed Sept. 20, giving the city another self-imposed year to come up with a plan for the facility or move forward with full demolition.
