SARASOTA COUNTY — Organizations that provide services to the homeless in South Sarasota County say they are ready to join forces and help combat the county’s growing homelessness issue after hearing recommendations by national homelessness expert Dr. Robert Marbut on Monday.
“I think that we have a sound plan that we can work off of,” said Lynette McCleland, a pastor with the Center of Hope in Venice. “It’s going to take collaboration for all of us to work together so that we aren’t duplicating, reduplicating or enabling. Now we can start the process of engaging.”
