Hear again with cochlear implants

Around the world about 665,000 babies are born annually with some level of hearing loss. “Bionic ears” — cochlear implants — along with intensive therapy, can help young children acquire speech, language and social skills.

Early implantation provides exposure to sounds that are helpful during the critical period when children learn speech and language skills.
