The Lemon Bay Conservancy has announced it has received a $200,000 grant from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

The multi-county water district — commonly known as Swiftmud — will hire a consultant to design projects for the restoration of the conservancy’s Wildflower Preserve. The goal is to bring Wildflower to a more natural state and to improve water quality on the preserve.
