Tax holiday eases back-to-school pinch

Parents of North Port students can catch a break when they go to buy back-to-school clothes during the upcoming sales tax holiday.

From Friday through Aug. 3, merchants won’t collect sales tax on any article of clothing, wallet, handbag, backpack and diaper bag costing $100 or less per item.
