Yacht Club gets $350,000 upgrade, grows

In early 1951, the Venice Yacht Club charter was granted, and although changes have taken place during the ensuing 66 years, the biggest makeover and refurbishment has taken place this year.

Past Commodore Shaun Graser said how thrilled the founding members were to receive the charter and move forward on one of the Club’s purposes. It was to encourage the education of young people in the community in the science of navigation, the art of sailing and small-boat handling.
