From trainee to business owner in just eight years is the success many young entrepreneurs dream about. For one enthusiastic young woman, it became reality a few weeks ago when she took over a thriving small store in Venice.
Denee MacDonald obtained a job at Annie’s Books and Gifts at 1522 U.S. 41 Bypass to the rear of Starbucks Coffee. At 17 in 2005, she was employed part-time by store owner Ann Sink. It was a most successful relationship as MacDonald had been a reader for most of her life and soon became engrossed with the uniqueness of the business.
