PGT industries reports strong sales in 2013

As the housing market continues to improve, so does the bottom line of the nation’s largest window manufacturer, PGT Industries of North Venice. The city’s largest employer had sales of $62 million in the last quarter of 2013, a 37.2 percent increase over the previous quarter. Total sales for the year were $239.3 million — a 37.1 percent increase.

During the final quarter, PGT hired and trained 144 new employees.
