Former New York City mayor, philanthropist and financial tycoon Michael Bloomberg spoke openly and candidly to guests Friday night at the historic Sarasota Opera House.

He supported President Obama, spoke about registering as both a Democrat and Republican in the past, and talked about terrorism and how the Internet has gotten rid of any notion of privacy.
