I can use my cellphone to send a text instantly to anyone in the world who has similar technology. I can use an app to see a current weather map. I can log onto a hospital’s website and learn how long I’ll have to wait to see a doctor in the emergency room.
So why does it supposedly take 10 days for email spammers — with technology at least as advanced as mine — to remove my name from their mailing lists (during which time, they inform me, I may — lucky me — continue to receive communications from them)?
