Groundbreaking ceremony held for Venice library

Around 200 people, including city and county dignitaries, braved a cold, windy morning for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new William H. Jervey Jr. Venice Public Library on Monday, Oct. 30.

Construction for the library, expected to cost around $11 million, is funded by the county but is located on city property.
