The city is taking a closer look at a consultant’s bad estimate of how much lime was contained in two lime sludge ponds that are being removed from Pinebrook Park.
In 2012, Colinas Group took boring samples and estimated the two ponds contained 30,000 cubic yards of lime sludge. The city eventually signed a contract in 2017 to remove the lime for $2.58 million.
