Hospital loses a star in Medicare rating

Venice Regional Bayfront Health (VRBH) got a three-star rating last year when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the first Hospital Compare grades.

CMS adopted the star system to simplify the process of evaluating a hospital’s quality. Five stars is best, one star worst.
