Carpenter named Mr. Football, Peacock top coach

The awards and honors keep piling up for the quarterback and the head coach that led the Venice Indians to the Class 7A state championship.

And now Bryce Carpenter and John Peacock have earned the highest individual honors in the state. Carpenter has been named the Florida Dairy Farmers 2017 Mr. Florida Football — the award that goes to the top player in the state — and Peacock has been named Florida Dairy Farmers Florida Coach of the Year.
