The public will soon have more beach access at Blind Pass Park in Englewood. Commissioners recently unanimously approved a $2.3 million deal to purchase a 1.67-acre Gulf-to-bay property directly south of the park on Manasota Key.
The land has a home on it, with approximately 137 linear feet of beach frontage on the Gulf of Mexico. The property contains beach and dunes, a small bit of coastal hammock, and mangroves along Lemon Bay. In addition to the home on the Gulf side, there is a boat dock across the road on the bay.
