Residents took a number of unusual steps to preserve their spot at today’s Venice Holiday Parade, including carting out the living room armchairs (above), lining up chairs neatly (left) and even taping off areas (below), which is no longer allowed due to the tripping hazard it poses. Entertainment for today, Saturday, Nov. 30, begins at 5 p.m. The parade starts at 7 p.m. The route begins at the corner of Park Boulevard and West Venice Avenue to Harbor Drive, turning south onto Nokomis Street and continuing onto Turin Street. It ends at the Venice Community Center.
