A Sarasota County School District psychologist was charged this week with fleeing the scene of an automobile crash that involved injuries after he allegedly slammed his Cadillac Escalade into two other vehicles while driving in excess of 100 mph, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Harvey Dorey, 43, who has home addresses listed in both Venice and Nokomis, according to the report, was charged with two counts each of hit-and-run involving injury, and hit-and-run involving property damage. The charges involving injury are third-degree felonies, while the property-damage charges are second-degree misdemeanors, the report states.
