The city of Venice could cut the unfunded liability for its police pension program in half within three years if all goes well, according to a year end study recently released.
“Overall the police pension is doing very good,” said Andy Leisenring, a Venice police officer who serves on the city’s Police Officers Pension Trust Fund. “The city’s contribution costs are set to go down pretty substantially in the next few years.”
