A large “heart” was put on display outside Venice Regional Bayfront Health as part of the hospital's celebration of the 10-year anniversary of its Heart Center. Event-goers could walk inside the heart and see what surgeons see. For more details and photos, see Page 6A.

Annual seasonal snowbird Elliott Stevens and his wife, who live in Vermont but spend their winters in Englewood, had a special mission on Friday.

Reading of the special 10 year anniversary celebration of Venice Regional’s Heart Center program, he wanted to meet the team.
