Sarasota Salvation Army officials unveiled plans recently for a hybrid housing project that could put a big dent in the area’s homeless population if it becomes reality in the near future.
Hybrid housing is a portfolio of housing services the Salvation Army will employ to concentrate on moving people from being homeless to housing. The project has been inspired by a hybrid housing project in Emmen, Switzerland, that recognizes the need for various smaller spaces to rent.
