A 700-home residential development in northern Venice received preliminary approval this week.

Tentatively called the Villages of Milano, the Neal Communities development of 350 acres on both sides of the newly built Jacaranda Extension, between Laurel and Border roads, was heralded by some members on the city of Venice Planning Commission as a compromise.
