After learning about algae buildup in Ruscelletto Park’s (“Little River” in Italian) stormwater retention pond, next door to the recently opened four-story Venetian Walk senior family housing project on Hatchett Creek, it didn’t take long for Venice City Council to come up with a few ideas on how to rectify the situation.
One idea is to place a fountain in the pond. It would be a vast improvement visually, and kill off the algae, or at least keep it under control.
