Patient records likely hacked
Patients of doctors and clinics affiliated with Venice Regional Bayfront Health are among the 4.5 million people whose personal information is believed to be in the hands of Chinese cyber criminals.
The name, address, birth date, telephone number and Social Security number of any patient referred to or treated by a physician or clinic affiliated with a Community Health Systems (CHS) hospital in the past five years are among the data the company reported Monday had been stolen by computer hackers.
