Lois Ellen Cline, 94, of Venice, Fla., and North Port, Fla., formerly of Battle Creek, Mich., died Saturday, Sept, 14, 2013, in Venice, Fla.

She was born to the late Leslie and Kathryn Chubb on Oct. 12, 1918, in Howell, Mich. She married Wayland Cline, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1997.

She moved to North Port 30 years ago from Battle Creek, Mich. She enjoyed the community and was a former member of the PTA School Cubs, Battle Creek Moose, Elks, American Legion, VFW and North Port Yacht Club.

Lois loved stylish dress, dancing, cards, consignment shopping and socializing with her friends at the senior center. She traveled extensively to China, Alaska, Mexico and all places in between.

She is survived by her loving children, son Jerry (Patti) Cline and daughter Kay (Charles) Kessler of Florida; brother, Dick Corwin, of South Carolina; sister, Shirley Imhoff of Michigan; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her companion of 10 years, Robert Stewart.

Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of her cremation arrangements.
