Elizabeth Marie Herrmann Midgley Stewart, 88, of Venice, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.

Mrs. Stewart was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Crafton, Pa., to Joseph and Edith (Wendt) Herrmann. She moved to Venice in 1987, coming from Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a retired secretary for Salem Corp. in Pittsburgh, Pa.

After retiring, she started a second career of 22 years as YoYo the Clown.

She graduated from Crafton High School, Class of 1943, and attended Duff’s Business School.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Showfolks of Sarasota, Circus Fans of America, John and Mabel Ringling Top 37, Tito Gaona Flying Trapeze Academy, the National Rifle Association, the Ladies Auxiliary of Venice Moose Lodge 1308 and Elks Lodge 2378.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Connolly of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Barbara Sommer of Bethel Park, Pa; brothers, J. Paul Herrmann of Osprey, Fla., and Fritz Herrmann of Pittsburgh, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services: Services will be private. Ewing Funeral Home, Venice, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
