Frank S. Stanley, age 85, of Venice, Fla., passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Crown Point, N.Y., Feb. 6, 1929. Frank served as honorary commander of the 380th Bombardment Wing, U.S. Air Force. Frank was an avid pilot and enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his son. His beloved poodle, Andy, was the apple of his eye and will miss his treats.

He is the last of eight brothers — Joe, Ben, Bill, Stan, Walter, Edward and John predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his parents, John Stanley and Sophia (Smith).

He leaves his wife, Jane; daughters, Anne-Marie Stanley and Sonya Stanley; and son, Frank J. Stanley.
