Sherry (Zehner) Schlieper, age 87, of Nokomis, Fla., formerly of Tipton, Ind., died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Salem Place Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Tipton, Ind., to John and Edith Roseberry, and had one brother, John Roseberry of Valparaiso, Ind.

Sherry graduated from Stephens College for women and Butler University. She was a homemaker for many years and later traveled the state as a career consultant for the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis, Ind., mentoring high school students.

Sherry was a member of West Street Christian Church, the Tri-Kappa philanthropic sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta social sorority and many various bridge clubs.

She was a great lover of the arts and later in life became an accomplished painter.

Sherry is survived by three children, Laurel and her husband, Greg, Kris and her husband, Mike, and Bill and his wife, Theresa; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: A Memorial Service is being planned for later this summer, date to be announced.
