Robert Neal Puckett, 83, of Venice, Fla., passed away Monday, June 9, 2014.
He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area 23 years ago from Southgate, Mich.
Bob worked as an electrician for Rutherford Electric for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed working with his hands, not only as an electrician but in plumbing work and other construction projects.
He liked to pass on this knowledge and skill to his son and son-in-law and work side-by-side with them.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Jackson, Mich., and the Venice, Fla., Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, June Puckett, of Venice, Fla.; daughter, Sheila (Alan) Holmes of Southgate, Mich.; son, Drake (Cindy) Puckett of Plymouth, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Scott, Natsha, Tatiana, Brandon and Natalie; as well as a sister, Carol Major, of Taylor, Mich. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deanna Banyase, on Aug. 13, 1997.
