The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office this week arrested a prolific offender on charges of dealing in stolen property and fraud after he allegedly sold jewelry stolen in a Venice burglary.
On Sept.16, someone broke into a home on Cypress Road and stole several pieces of jewelry. During the investigation, detectives learned Allen Edwards, 54, 100 block North Verona Street, Nokomis, pawned 11 pieces of jewelry at three locations within hours of the burglary and received $774.
