A woman working as a clerk at an East Venice 7-Eleven was charged Tuesday with stealing more than $20,000 worth of lottery tickets over the course of a year, according to the Venice Police Department.

Store management noticed in August they were missing lottery sales and, viewing surveillance tape, found that Virginia Joyce Hermida, 55, of the 600 block of Falls of Venice Circle, was taking four to five $20 dollar lottery tickets at a time, a report states.
