A man was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon recently after allegedly suffering a bout of road rage and displaying a handgun at another motorist on Interstate 75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Christopher Ervin, 52, of North Port, was allegedly traveling southbound on I-75 around 4:30 p.m. on June 23 when he cut in front of another vehicle and slammed on the brakes near mile marker 205 in Sarasota, according to a report.
