Indians romp to District 7A-11 title

Heading into the 2017 season, the Venice Indians had three big goals in mind: winning the district title, locking up home field advantage for the playoffs and playing on the big stage in Orlando in December for the Class 7A state championship.

The Indians were able to scratch the first item off that list on Friday night thanks in large part to another stingy defensive performance that held Palmetto in check all night and to three touchdown passes by senior quarterback Bryce Carpenter.
