Water polo set to begin at VHS

After moving to Sarasota County from Santa Barbara, Calif., goalie Mary Jane Bailey was happy to find a place to continue her passion for water polo. Bailey will be one of the more experienced players on Venice High School's new water polo team that will begin play in January.

Come this spring at Venice High School, students will have another opportunity to participate in a team sport.

Joining the more than 80 FHSAA programs already in existence, VHS has recently announced it, too, will add boys and girls water polo to its spring sports offerings.
