Hubbard leads Indians back to Final Four

The Venice High School volleyball team is headed back to the Class 8A State Final Four after their 3-0 sweep of Palm Harbor University in Tuesday night’s Region 8A-3 title game in Palm Harbor.

Being one of only two seniors on the Venice High School volleyball team means that middle hitter Kelly Hubbard knows she’s in a leadership role for a squad that features nine juniors.

“Wheatley says that leadership leads, so I just like to go out there and do my job and show that the team can rely on me,” Hubbard said.
