From the outset of Tuesday night’s boys soccer district matchup between Venice and Charlotte, it appeared the Indians would have trouble getting anything by Tarpon goalkeeper Gavin Pennell.

But the Indians managed to get a couple of shots by Pennell in the first half and went on to a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night at Well Field Park in Venice.
