A game that looked like a blowout early on turned extremely stressful for Venice down the stretch of this week’s district match against Charlotte in Punta Gorda.

The Indians nearly blew a three-goal lead but held off a late charge by the Tarpons to escape with a 3-2 road win in District 4A-11 action.
