While none of the other three squads in attendance at the District Duals wrestling meet Friday morning were having much success against Charlotte High, the Indians proved best of the rest with a tournament record of 2-1.

Boosted by the performances of siblings Lauren (106-pound class) and Dan Stone (145), who combined to win all six of their matches, Venice topped Port Charlotte 66-9 and edged Palmetto 39-36. Charlotte collected the Duals trophy with wins over Palmetto (63-15), Port Charlotte (65-12) and Venice (65-12).
