Jarrod Hewitt will be in his home state for his first college football bowl game.

The Venice High School graduate is a redshirt freshman defensive tackle for No. 22-ranked Virginia Tech, which Thursday meets No. 17 Oklahoma State in the World Camping Bowl at Camping World Stadium — the same field where the Venice Indians won the Class 7A state title earlier this month — in Orlando.
