Coach Jamie Carver keeps his eyes on the practice field in front of him at Garden Elementary School. His Seahawks Lacrosse fall program is coming to a close and his new Venice High team will begin practicing in late January, with many of the players at today’s scrimmage landing on that roster.

This isn’t Carver’s first go-round with being on the ground floor of a lacrosse program startup. In 2007, he founded, developed and coached the Out-of-Door Academy’s lacrosse program, and in 2013, he did the same thing for Bradenton’s Inspiration Academy.
