For all the accomplishments Venice (6-1, 1-0, No.4 in 6A) has already piled up this season — including a spring game shutout of Lakeland, a top-four state ranking and the team’s current five-game winning streak — Friday’s 6A-7 showdown with Largo at Powell-Davis Stadium will go a long way toward determining how successful Venice’s season will ultimately be.
