Terry Polk broke Venice High’s single-season rushing record — after running for 187 yards and three touchdowns Friday alone — as the Indians (8-2, 2-1) cruised to a 41-8 win over Bayshore (2-8) in both teams’ regular season finale.

Polk finished the regular season with 1,728 yards rushing, eclipsing the previous high of 1,634 set by Tre Smith in 2001. The senior’s 2012 total of 1,541 is also the third highest in the school’s history.
