Injuries leave Indians short-handed

Last basketball season, Venice girls basketball coach Jim Davis knew his team would encounter some growing pains. It was his first season as head coach, and he had no seniors and three juniors to go along with a collection of sophomores and freshmen. The result was an 8-16 season.

Entering this season, Davis and his players were optimistic that all the returners’ chemistry would give the Indians an advantage.
