Venice High seniors Maggie Flynn and Taira Ward knew Wednesday’s district semifinal against North Fort Myers could be their last game at The Teepee. They also knew with a win they would walk into uncharted territory.

Ward scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Flynn added 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Indians to a 64-41 victory. The win over the Red Knights sends the Indians to the 6A-District 11 finals and qualifies them for a berth in the state playoffs.
