Huge inning lifts Indians over Port Charlotte

The first four innings of Friday night’s District 11 matchup between the Venice Indians and the Port Charlotte Pirates featured good pitching and great defensive plays from both teams.

But the fifth inning was a completely different story after Venice made some offensive adjustments and exploded for nine runs, sending the Pirates to a 10-0, five-inning loss at Venice High School.
