Venice senior tennis players and identical twins Erica (left) and Laura Dempsey (right) helped lead the Lady Indians to this week's FHSAA State Finals. The Dempseys, the team's No. 4 and No. 5 players, are likely the only set of twins playing in this week's tournament that will decide the state championship.

When the Venice Lady Indians take the court in today’s FHSAA State Tennis Finals in Altamonte Springs, it’s very likely they’ll have one thing that none of the other seven teams have that are competing for the Class 3A title: a set of identical twins.
