Big inning dooms Indians in loss to Sarasota

Ever since losing 4-2 to Sarasota on their home field on March 21, the Venice Indians baseball team had Tuesday’s rematch against the Sailors marked on their calendars.

Unfortunately for the Indians, their shot at revenge will have to wait another year after a late rally came up short and they fell by the same score, 4-2, in a battle of nationally ranked teams on a windy and wet night at Ronald K. Drews Field at Sarasota High School.
