Venice paintballers take second at nationals

For the Venice paintballing trio of Ronnie Kovalski, Devin Howze and Maverick Shepler, getting to the 2014 College and High School Paintball National Championships held earlier this month in Lakeland may have been a stroke of luck.

Earlier this school year, the threesome of Venice High School students didn’t all know one another. Kovalski had asked Howze to come out and be part of a previous paintball team after Howze had stepped away from the sport due to issues getting to practices.
