Zgrabik earns A-Sun All-Academic honors

ZGRABIK

The Venice High School boys track team members that took part in the FHSAA 3A State Final meet last Saturday night in Jacksonville included, from left to right, Venice High track Coach Jason Potter, 4x400 meter relay team members Marcus Laurin, John Cokley and Noah Montgomery; discus thrower Jovan Edmonds and 4x400 meter team member Shane Burns.


The 4x400 meter team broke their own school record, which they established as Regional Champions one week prior, with a new record time of 3:22.95

Former Venice and current Florida Gulf Coast University softball player Chelsea Zgrabik has earned Atlantic Sun Academic honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Zgrabik, a senior, is joined on the All-Academic team by junior teammate Kelsey Carpenter of Oviedo, Florida.
