Most of the time in any given sport it’s the team that gets on a hot streak toward the end of the season that is hoisting the championship trophy at the end of the day.

The Venice Indians baseball team could certainly qualify as one of those teams that’s on that proverbial hot streak, winning nine of their last 11 games on their way to the FHSAA Class 6A Final Four, where they’ll be playing for their third straight state title next week in Fort Myers.
