Venice juniors fight for district title

Coming off their 12-5 win over the North Port Little League junior division All-Stars Monday night, the Venice Little League juniors looked to keep their hot streak going against Sarasota in the second round of the District 16 All-Star tournament on Wednesday against Sarasota.

Unfortunately for Venice, it was Sarasota who jumped out to a 7-0 lead after one inning and pulled away to a 16-1 win at Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota.
